Summary

In a country like Japan, where natural disasters like typhoons, earthquakes, and floods are prevalent, having an integrated application to calculate, build a dataset related to weather, natural disaster and statistical geography is vital. MOR Software's Disaster application provides a suite of tools to help users manage incoming natural disasters, calculate rainfall intensity, and track waterpipe networks. The app's user-friendly interface and powerful features make it a valuable tool for individuals and organizations alike.

The customer

Our customer is disaster and statistical geography forecast company currently operating in Japan.

The challenges

The Disaster app's primary goal is to provide useful tools to help users manage natural disasters. The app needed to calculate the rainfall intensity (mm/h) using latitude and longitude

In addition, the app needed a QGIS plugin to assist users in different operations like calculating rainfall intensity, exporting the dataset to pdf, and more. The QGIS plugin provides users with a suite of tools to manage their data and export it to various formats for further analysis.

The app also includes toolsets to manage crucial information about incoming natural disasters, such as typhoons, earthquakes, and floods. These toolsets enable users to track and manage essential data related to incoming natural disasters, making it easier to respond quickly to potential threats.

To manage waterpipe networks, the app includes 5Gis as an interactive map in which users can draw, take note, and re-adjust the water pipe placement. This feature is especially useful for individuals and organizations involved in the construction and maintenance of waterpipe networks.

The solution

The application was developed by a team of five members who utilized a range of technologies such as Python, PHP, HTML/CSS, and JS. These technologies were chosen for their reliability, scalability, and compatibility with various platforms and devices.

The development process took 36 months.

The outcome

Disaster app developed by MOR Software provides a variety of tools to help users manage natural disasters. With its powerful features, user-friendly interface, and robust algorithms, the app has proven to be an invaluable tool for individuals and organizations involved in disaster management, construction, and maintenance of waterpipe networks.

Disaster App is a testament to MOR Software's commitment to excellence and innovation.
