The KCON application was developed specifically for the global KCON event series, aimed at K-pop fans attending these music festivals. The app facilitates user check-ins, participation in activities, and receiving rewards. Users can also access information on vendor locations, schedule event attendance, and view performance times of their favorite artists. The development process spanned 16 months, utilizing a team of 26 members and leveraging technologies like NodeJS, ReactJS, and ReactNative to create a robust application capable of supporting up to 100,000 users in low-bandwidth conditions.

The customer is a South Korean entity responsible for organizing KCON, an international Korean pop culture convention that brings together music, culture, and fans from around the world. Their goal was to enhance attendee experience and engagement through a seamless digital platform.

MOR Software faced several challenges, including ensuring the application could handle high user volumes of up to 100,000 concurrent users, particularly in areas with limited internet connectivity. Additionally, they needed to provide real-time updates and notifications to users without significant delays.

To address these challenges, MOR Software implemented a scalable backend infrastructure using NodeJS to handle large volumes of simultaneous requests efficiently. ReactJS and ReactNative were used to create a responsive and intuitive user interface, ensuring a smooth user experience even on low-bandwidth networks. The team also integrated caching and data optimization techniques to minimize data usage and enhance app performance.

The KCON app successfully launched, providing a seamless experience for KCON attendees worldwide. It enabled efficient event check-ins, improved participant engagement through interactive features, and provided timely information updates.
